Help on virus please?

if you have two acounts on your computer and if i run the virus protection will it go thruogh my two acounts or only the acount i am running the virus protection

Help on virus please?malware

The short answer to your question is Yes, it can protect both accounts. However, it really depends on how you have the software setup. If you did a default setup, then there is nothing to worry about. A user with some experience could modify either the antivirus program to exclude certian folders and/or processes, or could modify the way a user account runs to reduce or stop the antivirus software from running. To provide a better answer to your question, We would need to know the name and version of the antirvirus software, operating system, and user account type. I hope this gives you a good jumping off point to better protect your computer.

Yep, All accounts on the system
All accounts as the SW has nothing do do with the accounts. It is used to detect viruses and other worms on the hard drive.
I don't understand what you mean by two accounts, but if you download and install antivirus protection, it's loaded onto the machine, not to an individual account.
some viruses do not become active until the account they are on is used you need to scan all accounts
Your anti-virus scanning software will scan both accounts. It scans the entire hard drive.
it will scan the entire computer files and programs, not just yours or the other person who may do a scan.

it will scan the drive(s)
Yes. Keep one active at a time. I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...! Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at
