Will antivirus software really protect?

i have this anti virus software for the computer that has a



firewall



virus protection



spyware protection



and some more stuff



does that mean i shouldnt be scared to download games for my calculator from this site:

not nessicarily, anit virus's merely reduce the possiblities of getting virus's, but it doesn't meen it will prevent anything from happening for sure. but even if a virus did get to your computer, you can use those anti virus programs to repair it, and if that doesn't work, try the system repair option in the control panel under performance and maintainance, it'll bring your computer back to its previous health and statis.



so with all that, i wouldn't worry about it, because accidents could be fixed.

I don't know about all viruses but my AVG has at least warned me before downloading....
