Which one of these 2 laptops do you recommend?

It will be used primarily for internet access, music downloads, minimal/novice video editing, and maybe a little Photoshop. Here are the 2:

First, Gateway MX6453...srp $999, can purchase locally @ $849

I'm pretty much dumb when it comes to computer technology, so I might be overlooking something. However, it appears to me that the Gateway is better in regard to RAM, as it has 2GB DDR2 SDRAM compared to the Dell w/ 1GB. Also, the Gateway HD is 160GB compared to the Dell @ 80GB. In short, I believe it boils down to a software bundle/system protection package which is making the Dell slightly more.

Based on the specs/cost, would you suggest the Gateway over the Dell? Thank you

Dell is far better... You can make use of 3 years comprehensive warrenty. It will work for us for years......
