It's possible that a setting in your BIOS is preventing you from being able to write to your floppy disk drive.

If you know what the BIOS is, get in there and see if it's set so you can't write to your floppy drive.

If you're thinking ??BIOS??, then contact your PC manufacturer or a techie friend (!) and get them to check.

See the link below for tips on getting into your BIOS.

I think the floppies you are using is write protected. There will be a notch at the bnottom of the floppy, just pull it. Everything will work fine.
There is a button in the floppy driv strcture that is pressed when you select the knotch on the floppy disk to Lock. Check if it is not stuck pressed. Thats the most probable reason i think. contact a hardware vendor or maintainer. or do it by urself if you are confident in opening the drive body.
that floppy disk it damaged.try another one.
some times the floppy drive has bad sectors, so first get a software which repairs floppy's,
It may be that the file you are trying to copy to disk is copy protected. Try right clicking on the file you are trying to copy and then clicking on properties. At the bottom of the window there should be ''Attributes''. ''Read Only'' should be un-checked.
mam/sir floppy disks are the worst form of storage device you can expect anyhting from it
