Is my Wireless network secure as it can be now????

I am not broadcasting my SSID

I have enabled WPA

And I am Mac Filtering.

Can someone still get in?

I havent started sharing my vital files yet, and want to know if theres anything else I can do.

Both computers are newly recovered and both have AVG virus protection running.

Anyone think of any weaknesses?

Is my Wireless network secure as it can be now????antivirus software

Sorry mate, but that's a little bit of an overkill on security. Are you a millionaire? Do you have some sort of new software technology that is proprietary and someone is trying to steal it?

Seriously, I jest. people are FAR too concerned about security. Yes, keep an up-to-date anti-virus, as well as anti-spyware, but that is for protection while connected to the net, and surfing.

As far as someone trying to hack into your machine through your wireless network? Not likely.

Especially since all routers come equipped with a built-in hardware firewall, that is nearly impossible to hack.

The way you have your system set up is plenty secure. WPA is ok, but if you really want to get technical, use WEP with a 128-bit encryption key.

Cheers

Trust me m8 you gone over the top, yep your as secure as you could be
You've done all you can...short of adding application layer encryption and that's hassle (i suggest PGP for email though). If you live in a residential street there is very little chance of you being hacked.
