this screen comes every yime i turn on the computer- i hav windows xp home edition and i only bought the computer two months ago brand new . i had no anti-viruse protection for a while i went online and found found free anti-viruse software (which worked on my laptop) before this problem occured. After installing this software i couldn't connect to my broadband through my computer but i could through my laptop wirelessely. i then tried to reinstall my broadband but dells security system- norton ghost- blocked me from doiong this and my computer crashed with the screen "The file \minint\system32\hddrvr2\nvraid.sys could not befound". i contacted dell and they sent out a reinstallation cd for windows xp home edition. All my attempts to regain windows on my computer failed-i tried to google this but unfortunately i can not connect to there site!
does anyone know of any way to install windows again-if you can fix this you would be my role model
What does the screen \minint\system32\hddrvr2\nvrai...nortan antivirus
- insert the windows CD
- restart the computer
- when the Dell logo shows (after just starting up the computer) press F12 repeatedly as shown in the top-right corner.
- when the boot menu appears choose the CD-ROM/DVD option
- follow the onscreen instructions and use this guide: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepa... to repair/reinstall windows
- once windows is reinstalled get your Dell driver CD and insert it. Follow the onscreen instructions and reinstall your audio, network and video card drivers (if needed)
good luck!
